Ayu (sweetfish) from Mochigase, a renowned clear stream area along the Sendai River in Tottori Prefecture, arrived this Monday. As the fishing season has just begun, the fish are still on the smaller side, but you can enjoy the delicate aroma and flavor unique to young ayu raised in pristine waters.
We are also expecting a shipment of ayu from the Niyodo River in Kochi Prefecture next week. Please look forward to it.

A seasonal tradition of early summer—
The time has come once again for wild ayu sweetfish, nurtured in the crystal-clear waters of the Niyodo River in Kochi Prefecture.

Our contracted fisher has shared some exciting news: this year, the natural upstream migration of wild ayu is greater than usual.

The fishing season opens on June 1st.
We invite you to savor the delicate aroma and gentle bitterness unique to ayu raised in pure rivers. A true taste of early summer.
